Three generation of Lohse's at The Ark Encounter (June 2019)
My name is Patrick Lohse and I am the Pastor here at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. I was ordained into the Office of the Holy Ministry on June 19th, 2009. Two days later I was installed as the Pastor of Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church.
I am the second born son of Michael and Cynthia Lohse. I have an older brother, Ryan, and two younger sisters, Megan and Sarah. On April 19th, 2008 God brought me and my beautiful bride Jennifer (née Golden) together in Holy Matrimony. Since that time, God has gifted us with three wonderful and active boys, Caleb (13), Noah (10) and Benjamin (8).
A favorite Bible verse of mine that brings me great comfort is Romans 5:8 "but God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." There are no superlatives in human language that can adequately describe God's grace. In the words of the hymn writer, it is AMAZING! I thank God that He has called me to faith in Jesus Christ through the Gospel, and that by the power of the Holy Spirit I can say Jesus is my Lord and Savior!
